    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
    1. CAMPUS - The medical college or medical institution shall be housed in a 3. CENTRAL LIBRARY – 1000 sqm
    unitary campus of not less than 25 acres of land . Tribal areas where the
    land shall not be in more than two pieces and the distance between the 4. LECTURE THEATRE ( at least 4) – 170 sqm each

    including library and hostels for the students, interns, PGs/Residents and 5. SMALL GROUP TEACHING FACILITIES :

    2. ADMINISTRATE AREA : - Student practical laboratories ( at least 8 ) – 210 sqm each
    - Principal / dean’s office : 36 sqm - Museum ( at least 3) – 60 sqm each
    - Staff room : 54 sqm 6. SKILLED LABORATORY – 400 sqm
    - College council room : 80 sqm 7. EXAMINATION HALL ( at least 3 ) – 100 sqm each
    - Office superintendent’s room : 10 sqm 8. MEDICAL EDUCATION UNIT – 150 – 160 sqm
    - Office : 150 sqm 9. AUDITORIUM – 500 sqm
    - Record room : 100 sqm 10. RESEARCH FACILITY –
    - Separate common room for Male and Female students with attached 11. COMMUNICATION FACILITIES – 4 sqm per each department
