HRD
• Human Resource Management is about the management of people in an
organization.

• Human resources are the people in an organization.

• There is a separate group called the human resource department or HRD to


handle human resources.

• An employer is the individual that hires and pays for workers while employees
are workers who get paid or hired by the employer for their services.

Importances
1. Find the right people, for the right job at the right time

2. Help them to work efficiently and happily

3. Motivate employees to achieve their goals


Functions
1. Recruitment (The process of attracting candidates through advertisements) and Selection (The
process of selecting the best candidate by having interviews

2. Wages (Daily/Weekly/Hourly payment) and Salaries (Monthly Payment)

3. Good relationship with the staff (Communicate about personals and motivate)

4. Redundancy (Reducing the workface as are no longer required) and dismissal (To ‘fire’ people)
(To force the employees to leave in return of unsatisfactory work/behavior)

5. Health (They must make sure no-one gets sick) and Safety (They must set a safe environment)

6. Training (They must provide knowledge to improve their skills)
