REPORTS
REPORT is a description of a situation , events , etc and is written for a clear purpose to a specific
audience . basically when your making a report what you’re doing is simply giving a description of a
certain thing .
Specific information and evidence are presented , analysed and applied to a particular problem or
issue . it help us understand situation, events more because it’s a description and by realizing that the
situation or event we are able to answer/address the problems.
The information is presented in a clearly structured format making use of sections and heading so
that the information is easy to locate and follow. meaning our reports is formal because they are well
structured.
There are times that students get confused with reports and essays. However, essays present
argument and reasoning, while reports are more on scientific, business related and technical , it is
also based on facts. reports are purely factual u just gathered information about something and then u
present it , but on essays although u can be factual essays are naturally argumentative or opinionated so
whenur making essays yes u give facts but at the same timeu can also give ur opinions.
A report may be a short , sharp, concise document that is written for a specific
purpose and audience. It usually sets out and analyses a scenario or downside,
typically creating recomendations for future action . It is a factual paper that should
be clear and well structured.
Reports are designed to lead individuals through the data in organized way,
therefore , requiring it to have numbered section and subsection.
