Introduction

  13.4 billion Industries work on Additive manufacturing

 AM is process were raw materials are transformed into finished goods.

  Leads to more market opportunities

  An additive process known for 3D printing

 Aims to Reduce heavy errors than casting metal objects.

Functional principle
  The system starts by applying a thin layer of powder material to the building platform

 A powerful laser beamthen fuses the powder at exactly the points defined by the

computer-generated component design data.

  Platform is then lowered and another layer of powder is applied.

  Another layer is fused so as to bond with layer below

QuantAM
QuantAM

  Preparatory tool for build preparation

 Imports STL geometry and enables part positioning.

  Position, orient and duplicate several objects

  Slice by Slice overview and laser tool route

 Export MTT file for implementation in machines

Design Software and its barrier
towards AM
  Tools for designing 3D models

 Exports CAD file (Barrier for customers using it for AM)

  Unable to export file for build preparation

  Difficult to handle two software at once for AM

Solution Proposed
Integrate QuantAM API on CAD software

• Calling QuantAM APIs on other third-party software SDK.

• Merging QuantAM in CAD software via GUI.

• Providing additional laser assignment features to CAD softwares.

Workflow
  Going through software and operations.

 Go through SDK of third-party software which is implemented in Python.

  Calling QuantAM API and check for response code on SDK.

  Point data through slices for generating M tt is taken through Third party

software

 Running different test cases to ensure robustness

Benefits: Limitations:
• QuantAM API integration on other software • Integration must have same
for operation simplicity.Real-time detection. programming language scripts
• Integrating in one software provides the
user to save time and provide an effective
approach
• Users will be able to study single software
with minimum features for the same but
better results.
Conclusion
• QAM-APIs which provides a seamless integration within
aggregator software guides the end user to have smooth and
effortless experience in a single application.

• The QuantAM API integration guarantees that Renishaw AM

functions are available within the third-party aggregator software.
This is vital to cater need of fewer Renishaw's AM customers.
