 Introduction

To transfer stock from one storage bin to another storage bin within the same warehouse, we manually
create and confirm a transfer order for the material to be moved. Since the total quantity of stock in the
warehouse remains the same, stock movements that take place within the same plant and warehouse
number do not require the use of the Inventory Management component.

Possible reasons for transferring stock from one storage bin to another within the same warehouse include

Combining smaller quantities of the same material that are dispersed among several storage bins
and moving them into a single bin
Clearing bins for technical reasons, for example, to renovate a range of storage bins or for
maintenance work
Transferring stock as soon as a specified capacity has been reached.
All the mentioned scenario will be Bin to Bin transfer

 Creation of Transfer Order

Step: 1 Transaction LT01

 Step 2: Press Enter to get the below screen.

Step 3: Enter Batch Number

You can also enter Source Storage type and Bin in the screen as shown above.
Or

Step 4: Click on option “Putaway Foreground” to get next screen which tells about Source and
destination bin.

Below Screen will appear.

Step 5: Enter all the details like Source Storage type, Bin, Destination Storage type and Bin.
You can also change the Storage unit type.

For Example if we want to move the titles from M01 (Main Storage type) to S01 (Shelving Location), then
enter the Source storage type as M01 and respective bin and Destination Storage type as S01 with bin as
shown below.

Step 6: Press ENTER to get the initial screen of Transfer order. This will have the now the details of Bin as
shown below.
Step 7: Click on SAVE button to create transfer order. A message with Transfer Order number will be
displayed.

Confirmation of Transfer Order.

Step 1: Transaction LT12.

Enter the Transfer Order created in earlier step and Warehouse Number.

Step 2: Press ENTER to go next screen.

Step 3: Select the line item as shown above and click on SAVE button to confirm the transfer Order.
Following message will appear.
Stock Display

This will move the material to destination bin.

Enter Warehouse number and Bin Number.

Creation of Transfer Order for Multiple Titles:

To create order for multiple Titles, we need to create Transfer requirement

Step 1: Transaction LB01

Movement type 999

Press enter to fill the details

Material Number, Quantity and batch.
Click on SAVE button to generate TR.

Creation of Transfer order for Transfer requirement (TR)

Transaction LT04

Press Enter
Click on option “Palletization”
Details of First material comes up

Click on “Forground” to Enter the Source and Destination Bin Details.

Press Enter so that previous screen comes up.
Click the option “Generate+Next material” to view next material details.

Perform the same function as mentioned above till all the item is processed.
Click on Save Button to create transfer Order.

To Confirm the transfer Order perform the same step mention on the topic “Confirmation of
transfer Order”.

Once the transfer order is confirmed the stock will be transferred to desired location.
