LSMW by Direct Input Method

Step 1 :- Go To Transaction Code LSMW

Step -2

Now Click on Create Button as Shown Below and then enter the project Name and Description and then
Press Enter later enter the sub-project name and description and finally enter Object name and
Description.
press ok and then Click on Execute Button which will display the below shown Screen
Step -3

a. Now click on Maintain Object Attributes which will display the below screen.
b. Now Bring the Screen from Display to Change mode by click on display change icon on menu tool bar.
c. Now Select Data Transfer as Periodic and the Select Standard Batch/Direct Input method of Uploading
the Legacy data.

d. Now Right Click on Object which will trigger a pop-up and select 0020 - Material Master.
Now right click on method system will default pick method as 0000 and Program name and type shown
below
Click on Save Button and go to next step of LSMW
Now double click on the Maintain Source Structures.

Now Click on change button on the Menu Tool Bar

Now click on Create Button on as highlighted by Red Color in the above Picture, So that system will
Trigger an POP-UP, So now enter Source Structure Name and description.
Click Ok and save the Structure.

Click on back button and go to next step in LSMW.

STEP -3

Now Double Click on Maintain Source Fields in the LSMW and then bring the Display mode to change
mode and then the below screen is displayed.

Now Click on MATMAS Structure as highlighted as 1 and Click on Table Maintenance as highlighted as 2
in the above Picture. Then the below screen is displayed.
Now enter all the fields entered in the excel sheet then paste them in the above step then the same
screen is displayed as shown below.
Click on Back Button and Save the Screen.
Now Click again on back button and then go to next step in LSMW.

Step -4
Now Double click on Maintain Source Structure Relations which would display the below Screen

Now Select each field in the structure relations and double click and bring to display to change mode on
each row which would display
Click on Save button and go back which will take LSMW to next Step.

Step - 5

Now Double click on the maintain field mapping and conversion Rules which will display the below
screen. Now Click on Display to Change button on menu tool bar.

Now Click on T-Code and then Click on Constant button on the Tool Bar and enter the Transaction code
as MM01 and click ok
Now Click on Extras Button on the Main Menu Bar and Select Auto Field Mapping which is displayed in
the below Screen.

Now Click Ok
Now Keep on Clicking on Accept proposal till it finishes

This is the Final screen which is observed after accepting all the proposals.

Now Select the Views and define them as constants as required.

after defining the views as constants then click on check button to see if this LSMW has any errors

Now Click on Save Button to go to next step in LSMW

Step - 6:-

Now Omit the Maintain Fixed Values, Translations, User-Defined Routines step and go to next step.

Step -7:-

Now Go to Specify Files in LSMW and double click on it.

Now click on display to change mode in the above screen.

Select Legacy Data (on the PC [Frontend]) and then Click on Create button and the below shown pop-up
Now Create the Excel File

Now select the file from the desktop and name LSMW as Material Master, In the Delimiter select the
Tabulator and in the File Structure select Field names at the start of the File and deselect the Field order
Matches Source Structure Definition & Press Ok.
Now save the Screen so that system will take you to next screen

Now in the Assign Files, Just change the System from Display Mode to Change Mode.
Now click on the save button so that system will take you to next step.

Now Click on the Read data system will take you to below screen
now click on the Execute Button then the following pop-up is displayed

Now Click Ok
Now Click on Back step, So that system will take you to next step.

Now Double Click on Display Read Button then system will show the below PoPup
Click Ok then System then the following screen is displayed.

Now Click on Back Button then system will take you to next step as shown below
Now Double Click on Convert data then system will display the below screen

Now Execute the Screen so that system will show the below screen
Click on Back button, So that system will take you to next step.

Now double Click on Display Converted data then system will trigger a popup, Now after accepting or
Clicking Ok then system will display the converted data.
Now Click Ok

Now Click on back button then system will take you to next step.
Now Click on the Direct Input prgram then system will trigger the below popup screen

Now Click Ok then system will take you to the below screen
Now Select Physical File Name instead of using Logical File Name and click on execute

now upon executing the below Pop up is triggered

Now Click Ok

Click Ok
Click Ok
