Introduction: This is me, My name is Christine Joy Naraiso. I’m currently 19 years old, was born on June 13 year 2003. The eldest amongst all of my five younger siblings. My birthplace is in Philippines, in the part of Manila and I grew up in Quezon City. I stayed in Quezon City ‘til I reached the age of two. My parents took absolute care of me because I was their first ever child. At the age of three, I had to stay with my grandparents because mom and dad had to look for a job in order to provide for my daily needs. It was a really far place, from the city to the province. Basically, my grandparents lived in Dinagat Islands, in the Albor part. We spent our last moments like as if there was no tomorrow. After my parents dropped me off to my grandparents, they left. Living without my parents along my side was a difficult time for me, I can tell that they felt the same too. Though, even if mom and dad weren’t there my lola (grandma) and lolo (grandpa) were there to support me. They were like my second mom and dad. At first I didn’t like going outside, Because I felt scared of what danger could be possibly waiting for me outdoors. Of course, who wouldn’t feel that way? Especially when you just moved into a place you absolutely not know where. Though one day, it came to a point when I gathered all my courage and step outside of the house and get some sunlight. As soon as I did, I never wanted to get back inside. Okay, That was a joke. But seriously, I enjoyed the outside world. I felt so free, like as if I could breathe. I felt like a song bird soaring freely through the skies. Not saying, that my grandparents kept me captive inside the house, the fact, they are the ones telling me to go outside and make some friends and I did. I had tons of friends and they were all so nice. I mean not all, some were really rude and snobbish, But I managed to mingle with them. We played all sort of games, like “patintero”, “tumba lata”, “luksong baka”, and I even experienced Capturing spiders and use them to battle other spiders. I know it sounds disgusting or weird or scary but I tell you, It’s absolutely fun. Especially when you place a bet. As I grew older, I got enrolled to a school where most of my friends studied and no day of Studying ever gets boring as long as you got some crack head friends study along with You. There were times that my friends would ask me to skip classes, though I never Agreed. Yes, I may be an energetic and a playful child, but I’m not disobedient. I never Dared to do something that would disappoint my grandparents nor my mom and dad. My everyday life in Albor were the most memorable days I had all throughout my life. I had lots of friends, did all sorts of fun things. Everything seemed perfect, until I Turned 13, I was moved to Valencia, Another town in Dinagat Islands. I was there to Study along with my cousins. Of course I was happy because I got to spend time with My cousins, but more of me felt sad cause I had to leave my friends from Albor. I had So much memories there and it hurts me to leave my friends behind. So…here I go again Starting a new life in a new town, just like what happened to me when I was 3 years old. Well, I guess that’s just how life goes, just like what others say ; “People come and people Go”. I just have to accept it, maybe in the future, I’ll be able to meet them someday. I May not know when, but I’m willing to wait for that very faithful day. Spending most Of my days with my cousins weren’t that bad either. We studied together, did school Activities, talked and get to know each other more. The fact, they remind me of my Friends back at Albor, I missed them all so dearly. Speaking of studying, School was Pretty enjoyable, a lot of challenges coming through the way, and I like to be challenged. As I studied in Valencia, I stayed in a small boarding house with my cousins. There were basically six of us and one guardian. Me, my cousins; Mark, Manang, Upao, Romar, China, and Auntie Arlene. Manang was the eldest among of us, she’s usually A sneaks out to go on parties and flirt with boys-though she has been committed to Do her studies, Me-who’s much of a quiet person but also a party girl, Mark, the eldest among all of the male cousins-he’s the smartest yet he gets very strict at times and he’s very much into his studies, Romar-he’s the easiest person to get along with though he easily gets upset…if you mess with him, Upao-we call him the “Harry Potter of the family” because he’s a huge fan of this series and he’s very talented, China is the youngest, she’s the curviest girl amongst us, a party girl, and much more of a flirt than Manang. All of us may have different personalities and interests But, no matter what may happen, us, cousins stick together like thick and thin.
