Prepositions of Time
Use the prepositions of time to talk about a specific time period such as a date on
the calendar, one of the days of the week, or the actual time something takes
place.
• ON (specific days, dates, day + part of the day).
• IN (weeks, months, years, decades, centuries).
• AT (hours, parts of the day)
Examples
Time Expressions
• Every day /month / year.
• Once a day / week / month / year.
• Twice / three times.
• Adverbs: Always / usually / often / sometimes /never / ever / rarely (before of the
verb).
