Activity 1: Guess it!
Directions:
1. Students will be divided into pairs, 1 and 2.
2. A logo will be presented on the screen.
3. All #1 students will guess what is the logo presented, and the
teacher will count from 1 to 3, then they will whisper the
answer to their pairs. They will be the whisperers.
4. All #2 students will stand up and tell/shout the answer. They
will be the shouters.

4. Write your answers in a ½ crosswise.
5. Five groups will be chosen to recite their answers.

●It was launched in August 2012, but in 2008, it was
originally developed as Facebook Chat.

●Messenger is an instant messaging app you can
use without a Facebook account. It enables an
individual to send private messages to another or a
group. You can also send photos, videos, and
audio, and have voice calls and video calls.

developed by Google.

● Chrome is a free web browser used for accessing
the Internet and running web-based applications.

Who invented it?
● Twitter was invented by Jack Dorsey. Back then, Dorsey wanted
to use his cell phone to send text messages to a service and
have the message distributed to all of his friends. However,
during that time, smartphones is still new and most of Dorsey’s
friends didn’t have text-enabled cell phones, and most of them
used home computers. Hence, Twitter was developed because
of the need to enable text messaging to have a cross-platform
capacity and work on phones, computers, and other devices.

and Igor Magazinnik, who were friends from the Israel
Defense Forces where they were chief information
officers.

Jawed Karim. It is owned by Google, and is the second
most visited website, after Google Search.

●It was launched on February 14, 2005.

●YouTube is a free video-sharing website that makes it
easy to watch online videos. You can also create and
upload your videos to share with others. YouTube users
can also like, share, and comment on the videos of other
users. It is now one of the most popular sites on the
Web, with visitors watching around 6 billion hours of
video every month.

ByteDance.

● It was launched in September 2016 under the
name Douyin.
