Indigo Reports
Indigo Reports is a system that provides a variety of reports including:

• Audit Log reports


• CyberVigilant reports
• Health check reports
• Inventory management reports
• Alarm based reports

Reports are PDF & Doc based and can be emailed automatically.

Indigo Reports - Installation

To install Indigo Reports, the following steps need to be followed:

1. Run the Installation


2. Setup the Audit credentials
3. Control Center Setup
4. License the system
5. Setup your users
6. Connect the system to the live Site Database

Indigo Reports - Installation
Once the installation is running , please ensure the following is configured
accordingly:

2GB should be used for most sites.


If your site is large, it is
recommended you contact TS for
more information on this prior to
installation.

Indigo Reports - Installation
The installation will allow you change the path for the data folder only. This
folder contains all the details related to your Site Database.
This is the location for the
installation file of the Indigo
Reports module.
Location of the Database folder
where Indigo Reports will store all
details regarding the Indigo Site
Database.

Indigo Reports – Installation
Upon completion of the installation, the system automatically generates a
secure password (this password cannot be recovered so please make a note
of it when it is displayed. Once done the installation will be complete).

Indigo Reports – Credential Setup
Credentials are needed to allow Control Center to connect to the Database for
Auditing purposes. To set the credential up:

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\IndigoVision\Indigo Reports\


2. Run (elevated) IndigoReports.Shell
3. Type ‘indigoreports auditcreds’ and hit Enter
4. The ODBC username and password (B) will be displayed, please make a note of
that as that will be required later in the setup.

Indigo Reports – Control Center Setup
Please run Control Center and then configure the driver as per the below
instructions:

Select ‘MySQL ODBC 8.0 Unicode Driver

Enter the IP address of


the machine where Indigo

Enter the credentials (B) that


you copied over when you ran
IndigoReports.Shell and Hit
OK. Once done, Control Center
is now fully configured.

Browse to the Database server
by entering the x.x.x.x:4398
where x.x.x.x is the IP address
of the machine.

Enter the Username: admin


and the password is the one
you copied over from slide 6
(A).

• License the system by


going to Licensing and then
copy the Installation ID.
• Send the ID to
order.mgmt@indigovision.c
om
with your order details.
• Once processed they will
send back a License string.

• The Auto option be used


once the License has been
processed by Order
Management. This allows
the module to directly
communicate with the
License Server and get
Licensed. This option
required Internet access.

• Go to Manual
• Enter the License string you
have received from Order
management into the text
box.
• Hit the Upload License
button and you will see the
License summary.

Indigo Reports – Adding Users

• Add users by selecting: in the top bar.

Fill all the fields as per your Site requirements.

• Report Preferences – Allows users to modify the


report options.
• System Administration – Allows users to change
the system configuration
• User Management - Allows users to modify user
accounts.
• VMS Reporting – Allows users to get access to the
reports from Control Center.

• Log back into the Database server with the Account you have just created.

• Go to Select Module

• Select System Administration

• Select Site Database


Connection.
• Fill all the fields with the
correct information including
the Site database path, the
credentials to log into Control
Center.
• Modify the reaping options as
per your requirements.
• Hit Save

You can verify the connection


by going to the Site Database
Connection Logs section and it
should say Success with the
green check .

This connection process initially


can take up to a few hours as
Indigo Reports goes through all
the information in your live Site
Database.

In Control Center, go to Tools  Configure Reports

• Enter the full URL of the Indigo Reports


module.
• You can now launch Indigo Reports
directly from Control Center by going
to Tools  Reports

Load IndigoReports and login with a user account.

• Go to Select Module

• Select VMS reporting

displayed options to view any
events related to those devices.
• My Reports – Pre defined reports
available
• Additional options include events
from:
• System Auditing
• Cyber Vigilant
• Inventory & Health
• Recording
• Alarm & Detector related
Events.
