ECONOMY OF MONACO
The economy of Monaco is reliant on tourism and banking.
Monaco, situated on the French coast of the Mediterranean
Sea, is a popular resort, attracting tourists to its casino and
pleasant climate.
The Principality has successfully sought to diversify into
services and small, high-value-added, nonpolluting
industries. The state has no income tax and low business
taxes and thrives as a tax haven both for individuals who
have established residence and for foreign companies that
have set up businesses and offices. The state retains
monopolies in a number of sectors, including tobacco, the
telephone network, and the postal service
POPULATION OF MONACO
The current population of Monaco is 39,983 as of Saturday, march 4, 2023, based on the latest
united nations estimates. Monaco population is equivalent to 0.0005% of the total world population.
CULTURE OF MONACO
Monaco's culture has strong influences from its neighbors,
France, Italy, and Spain. with the native Monegasque
population making up only about twenty-one percent of the
population, the French actually make up the largest group at
28 percent. this implies that the French influence is massive.
FLAG OF MONACO
The national flag of the principality of Monaco has two equal horizontal bands, of red and white,
both of which have been the heraldic colours of the house of grimaldi since at least 1339. the present
bicolour design was adopted on 4 april 1881, under charles iii.
GASTRONOMY OF MONACO
Stocafi, a dish of dried cod, stewed in tomato sauce and flavored with
black olives and small vegetables is a local delicacy; stuffed zucchini
flowers, truffle and foie gras torte and provençal-style artichokes
braised in wine with olive oil are other Monegasque favourites.

Barbagiuan (crispy and fried pastry)

The Barbagiuan is the most famed dish in Monaco, often being hailed
as Monaco's national dish. This crispy pastry is filled with Swiss
chard, and ricotta, before being rolled in pastry and fried until golden
crisp with the filling oozing out
PLACES OF INTEREST IN MONACO
1. Monte-carlo: Despite its small size, Monaco packs an enormous amount of glitz
and luxury.
Monte-Carlo is the most glamorous district, found in a spectacularly picturesque
setting north of Port Hercule and overlooking the bay.

2. Palais Princier de Monaco: In a unique position high above the sea on the
picturesque peninsula of Le Rocher, the Palais Princier de Monaco is home to the
oldest monarchy in the world. The Genoese noble family of Grimaldi established
Monaco in 1297 after they captured the land from the Republic of Genoa.

3. Musée Océanographique de Monaco: The Musée Océanographique de Monaco


stands in a spectacular seaside location on Le Rocher, right at the water's edge. In
this dramatic setting, the museum and aquariums stand on massive foundations that
took 11 years to build. This is one of the world's oldest aquariums, commissioned by
Prince Albert I, great grandfather of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, and opened in 1910.

independent and sovereign country located on the
northern coast of the mediterranean sea. it is
surrounded on land by its neighbor france, and Italy's
borders are just 10 miles away (about 16km)

It has an area of 2.1 km2 (0.81 sq mi), or 208 ha (510 acres), and a population of 38,400, making
Monaco the second-smallest and the most densely populated country in the world.
FLORA AND FAUNA OF MONACO
1. They are the roe deer, the least weasel, and the cross fox.
since Monaco is along the coastline, there are some sea
animals too that can be seen there. there is the Atlantic
dolphin, which is commonly found everywhere and then
there is the striped dolphin that can found in the sea there.

2. Monaco's vegetation is dominated by thermophilic


species such as olive, carob, mastic, Aleppo pine and tree
spurge. A total of 347 taxa (species and subspecies) are
currently present and distributed among 79 plant families.
At least 49 taxa previously identified are now considered
extinct in the territory.

The euro
even though Monaco is not a member of the European union, the local currency is the euro.
GEOGRAPHY OF MONACO
Monaco's terrain is rugged and hilly and its coastal regions are
mostly rocky. along its east coast, Monaco is a long, narrow
strip with beaches on the mediterranean sea. whereas its
border with france consists of foothills from the alps.
