Immediate Future (going to)

When talking about future decisions we can use “will” or “going to”.

Use “will” when expressing future actions decided at the moment of

speaking (an immediate decision).
Example: I will have the salad please.

Use “going to” when expressing future plans decided before the moment
of speaking (a prior plan).
Example: I’ m going to visit my parents on Sunday.
