1. Tables and figures must have a ‘callout’ in the text.


2. The first callout comes before the table/figure, and it should explain
the key point(s).

○ Table 2 shows that the number of papers on Scrum practices in GSD is


increasing.

3. Avoid putting the first callout in parentheses. If you refer to a


table/figure more than once, subsequent callouts can be in
parentheses, e.g., (Table 2).

Qualitative results
○ It is not just a description of the papers.

○ It is not just a list of summaries of the papers.

○ It is a narrative synthesis of the information in those articles.

■ Combine the information from groups of papers.

■ Extract and summarise the key information/data from those papers.

■ Use that information to answer your research questions.
