(DISORDERS)

immune system that is impaired is unable to protect the body from a wide variety

skill and attitudes to provide quality, compassionate and humane care among client
with immunologic disorders.

● Deficiencies resulting from proper development of the
immunosuppressive cells and tissues.
● Mainly genetic disorders seen in children.
b. Secondary Immunodeficiencies
● Any condition that can interfere with the normal growth or
expression of the immune response system.

(Thymic Hypoplasia)
● Absence of thymus in the neonate.
● Hypocalcemia and tetany - secondary to
hypoparathyroidism.
Primary Immunodeficiencies

agammaglobulinemia)
○ Infantile sex - inked agammaglobulinemia
wherein all immunoglobulins are depressed
○ Found only in boys.
Primary Immunodeficiencies

3. Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID)

○ Becomes evident when the person becomes
an adult, the deficiencies are primally IgA and
IgM.
Primary Immunodeficiencies

4. Severe Combined Immunodeficiency

Disease
○ Complete absence of both cellular and
humoral immunity
Primary Immunodeficiencies
