support all skills in English is vocabulary
• Vocabulary is the most important aspect in
communication.
• Vocabulary is a fundamental thing that
person must know to speak or use a
language
• Words are the basic that create the speech

The most effective time to learn is after subuh prayer
• The brain tends to be fresh and better prepared to be fed
new information
• The dawn time is also suitable to be used to memorize some
of the materials taught in school
• In Subuh time, the mind is still clear and has not been
contaminated with many things
What’s so special about the Islamic Boarding
School?
• The students live in dormitory
• It applies 24-hours learning

vocabulary after subuh prayer at Raudhatul Ulum
Islamic Boarding School

The Method of the Study Classroom Action Research

Population Students of MTs Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga

Purposed sampling
Sample {Forty-four students of VII.1 c and VII.1 d

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

• The lowest score in pre-test was 3, the highest score was 7, and the
mean score was 5. The lowest score in the post-test was 6, the highest
score was 10, and the mean score was 8.
• Students’ achievement perform significantly better in the post test
compared to the pre-test
• Giving morning vocabularies after Subuh prayer could be considered
as a supplementary learning environment

Conclusion of the study

From the calculation between pre-test and post-test, it


was found that the mean score in the pre-test was 5
and the mean score in the post-test was 8. The mean
difference was 8 – 5 = 3. It meant that giving morning
vocabulary after subuh prayer at Raudhatul Ulum
Islamic Boarding School is effective.
