RUBIK’S CUBE

A Rubik’s cube is a 3 X 3 X 3 cube that can

be manipulated so that each face of the
cube will have the same design.
PROBLEM:
 Mr. Santos made a rectangular seed
box for his seedlings with a length of
4 cm, a width of 2 cm and a height
of 3 cm. How many cubic
centimetres of soil will he use to fill
the seed box?
STANDARDS FOR GROUP ACTIVITY
I II III
1. Work quietly/Minimize
noise.
2. Cooperate with the
group.
3. Follow the directions
carefully.
4. Maintain the
cleanliness in the working
area.

 How do you solve the volume of

rectangular prisms? What is the
formula used?
ANALYZE AND SOLVE THE
FOLLOWING PROBLEM.
 1) A sewing box is 12 cm by 9 cm by 6 cm.
What is its volume?

 2) How many cubic of metres of soil has to
be removed for the foundations of a
building 52 m long and 35 m wide if the hole
is to be 1.5 m deep?

ANALYZE AND SOLVE THE
FOLLOWING PROBLEM.
