LIBERTY

This term has derived from Latin word liber which means freedom and liberty means
Freedom to something.

SAFEGUARD OF LIBERTY
1. Democracy: a system in which a government of a country is elected by the people.
2. Enumeration of Rights in the constitution: constitution is the sovereign of the country
no one is above the constitution.
3. Rule of law: Everybody is equal before the law No any special privileges to anybody.
4. Separation of power: There should be a separation of power between the organ of
government i.e., Legislature, Executive, Judiciary.
5. Decentralization of power: If power is in the hands of one people or few people then
results can be an anarchy.
6. Free and honest press: Fourth pillars of democracy by Dr. Br Ambedkar. There must be a
free media to save liberty of the people.
