ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ACCERT (ANTI-CRIME AND

COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM) IN LAW ENFORCEMENT


AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE IN LAPU-LAPU CITY

RATIONALE

 ACCERT is one of the many force


multiplierorganizations here in the Philippines Republic.
ACCERT is also a major partner of the
Philippine National Police in Law Enforcement and
emergency response. It was established by public
safety and security professionals that can assist
to the community to where they situated.
 The urgency in conducting this study is

to gather data and assess the effectiveness of ACCERT


because criminality and other emergencies are on trend.
 This study is guided by three theories:
Anchored on Humanistic Theory by Abraham Maslow.
Supported by the two sub-theories namely: Social-Cognitive
Theory and Big Five Personality Traits Theory.
OBJECTIVES / STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

 The study will assess the effectiveness of


ACCERT in Law Enforcement and Emergency Response
in Lapu-Lapu City. The findings of the
study will be the basis of Proposed Action
Plan. Specifically it will answer the following:
Profile of the Respondents, Level of Effectiveness
of ACCERT in Law Enforcement and Emergency
in Lapu-Lapu City. The Profile of the

Respondents includes: age, educational attainment and the

occupation of the respondents. The level of effectiveness of

ACCERT pertains to the efficiency

of ACCERT in Law Enforcement and Emergnecy

Response in all barangays within Lapu-Lapu City


METHODOLOGY

 This study will utilize a quantitative descriptive

survey method to determine the effectiveness of

ACCERT in Law Enforcement and Emergency Response

in Lapu-Lapu City. The study will be

conducted in all police stations in Lapu- Lapu

City except Police Station 1 situated at Olanggo Island.


 The researcher will utilize a made questionaires

composed of two parts: First is the Profile

of the Respondents and the assessment in Scale

from 4 which interprets Very Effective down

to 1 which interpret Not Effective with

its corresponding weight from 3.26-4.00 as the highest down to 1.00-1.75.


All informations that will be gather will

be tallied and will organize in appropriate

table in order to facilitate analysis and interpretation.

The study will also be treated with

descriptive method and inferential statistics. We will

reach conclusions that will extend beyond the

immediate data alone. Through Simple and Weighted Mean.
