CARL JUNG

INTRODUCTION:

• He was born in switzerland in 26 july 1875.


• He was a swiss psychoanalyst and philosopher.
• He founded analytical psychology
• He study in university of basel and university of zurich
• And died on 6 june 1961 (aged 85) in Switzerland
CARL JUNG'S THEORY

• Carl Jung's theory is the collective unconscious. He believed


that human beings are connected to each other and their
ancestors through a shared set of experiences. We use this
collective consciousness to give meaning to the world.
JUNG'S PSYCHOANALYTICAL
PSYCHOLOGY:

• Carl jung and Sigmund freud conducted a lengthy correspondence.


• Freud saw that the younger jung was taking forward his "new science " of psychoanalysis.
• After which he was appointed as the president of psychoanalytical
association.
• After that they both got part away and jung established the jung's analytical psychology.
• This was comprehensively different from old psychoanalysis.
JUNG’S THEORY OF PERSONALITY TYPES:

• Jung’s theory focuses on four basic psychological functions:


1. Extraversion and introversion
2. Sensation and intuition
3. Thinking and feeling
4. Judging and perceiving
CHARACTERISTICS OF THINKING LEARNERS:

• Interested in logic and patterns.


• Make decisions based on reason and logic.
• Dislike basing decisions on emotion
CHARACTERISTICS OF FEELING LEARNERS:

• Interested in people and their feelings.


• In tune with their own emotions and those of other people.
• Base decisions on immediate feelings.
• Generate excitement and enthusiasm in group settings.
CHARACTERISTICS OF JUDGING LEARNERS:

• Do not like ambiguity or mystery.


• Tend to be firm in their decisions.
• Very organized and structured.
• Have strong opinions.
• Generally follow the rules.
