Background

The population of Kashmir is approximately 4 Million, it has 10 districts. In

Azad Kashmir gynecologist are available from morning to 2 PM only in district
headquarter hospital and after that there is no medical facility available. The
women in remote areas do not receive timely treatment and most of them
are dead or they lose the child, also there is no emergency service provided
in rural areas. 90% delivery cases are held at overnight. Hence Al Khidmat
Foundation is planning for setting up Mother and Child Care Centers. Al
Khidmat Foundation has selected 10 Areas for these Mother and Child Care
Centers and will provide service round ‘O’ clock i.e. 24 hours.
