Corregidor Island
Corregidor is one of the most important historic and
tourist sites in the Philippines. This island located at
the entrance of Manila Bay in the southwestern part of
Luzon played an important role during the invasion and
liberation of the Philippines from Japanese forces
during World War II.

Malinta Tunnel
The Malinta Tunnel is a tunnel complex built by the
United States, from 1922 to 1932. It was initially used
as a bomb-proof storage and personnel bunker, but
was later equipped as a 1,000-bed hospital. During the
Battle of Corregidor 5 and 6 May 1942, the tunnel
served as the headquarters of General Douglas
MacArthur.
Tejeros Convention House
Tejeros Convention (also known as Tejeros Assembly or
Congress) played an important role in the Philippines
history and independence. The Tejeros Convention (also
referred to as Tejeros Congress or Tejeros Assembly), held
at Tejeros (now General Trias) in Cavite on 22 March 1897,
was the meeting that brought together the members of
both the Magdalo and Magdiwang factions of the
Katipunan. This is considered as the first Presidential and
Vice Presidential election in the history of the Philippines.

Bonifacio Trial House


The ancestral home of the family of Teodorico Reyes
was where Andres Bonifacio, together with his brother
Procopio, were tried by a court martial for treason and
sedition on May 5, 1897.This house-turned-museum
witnessed the trial of revolutionary leader Andres
Bonifacio. Its centerpiece is a life-size diorama
recreating the trial scene.
Fort San Felipe
It is an old structure dating back to 1609 when the
Spaniards built it to protect part of their growing
city. The Philippine Navy Museum is also found here
where miniature scale models of Phil. Naval vessels
and other memorabilia are placed.

Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo


Shrine
The shrine is the ancestral home of Emilio Aguinaldo,
officially the first President of the Philippines, the only
president of the First Philippine Republic. The house
was built in 1845 made from wood and thatch and
reconstructed in 1849. Here, Aguinaldo was born on
March 22, 1869.
Tagaytay Ridge
One of the most interesting sights in the country, the
Tagaytay Ridge provides a glimpse of the Taal Lake and
the Taal Volcano, basically a lake inside a volcano. This
volcano, known to be the lowest and the highest, is by no
way the most mild. It's a very long past of destructive
eruptions. Tourists flock to the People's Park in the Palace
in the Mountains, the summer home of former Philippine
President Ferdinand Marcos. From here, visitors can see the
reach of the mountain extending out into the sea, obscured
in sections by cloud tufts.

Mt. Pico de Loro


Mt. Pico de Loro, one of the most popular hiking
destinations in the country. Mt. Pico de Loro, also known as
the “Parrot’s Peak”, is a popular destination for
mountaineers throughout the country. Many people are
curious to witness for themselves the iconic rock peak.Mt.
Pico de Loro is the highest point in Cavite. From here, one
can see the wide plains of Cavite and the South China Sea.
Balite Falls
Corregidor is one of the most important historic and
tourist sites in the Philippines. This island located at the
entrance of Manila Bay in the southwestern part of
Luzon played an important role during the invasion and
liberation of the Philippines from Japanese forces during
World War II.

Malibiclibic Falls
The most popular destination in Bailen, Malibiclibic
Falls is distinctive for its rock formations. The waterfall
itself is only about two meters high, but rock formations
surrounding it stand at around 10 meters. Coming from
the rivers of Alfonso, Bailen's neighboring town, the
water drops to a large pool about 20 meters deep
before flowing to Malibiclibic River.
Nagcarlan Underground
Cemetery
The Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery was declared a
National Historical Landmark in 1973 (formally declared in
1982) and was also dubbed as the only Underground
cemetery in the country. It is located in Barangay
Bambang in Nagcarlan and was built in 1845 under the
supervision of Franciscan priest, Fr. Vicente Velloc.

Rizal Shrine
The Rizal Shrine in Calamba (Filipino: Museo ni José Rizal
Calamba) is a reproduction of the original two-story, Spanish-
Colonial style house in Calamba, Laguna where José Rizal
was born on June 19, 1861. Rizal is regarded as one of the
greatest national heroes of the Philippines. The house is
designated as a National Shrine by the National Historical
Commission of the Philippines.
Japanese Garden
The Japanese Garden along Lake Caliraya (in Laguna) is
a memorial park built by the Japanese government in the
1970s in order to commemorate the Japanese soldiers
who died during the Second World War. According to
some locals and legends, it is also the burial site of
General Yamashita of the Yamshita treasure fame.

Pila Heritage Site


Pila is the heritage town of Laguna. The historic center
of the town was declared a National Historical
Landmark by the National Historical Institute in 2000.
It was known as La Noble Villa de Pila, one of the few
towns in the country which was elevated to villa during
the Spanish colonial period.
Panguil River Eco Park
The park was established in 2007 and
stretches out to 16 hectares of natural
protected area. Protected by the local
municipal and funded by the world bank, it is
also a sanctuary for flora and fauna.

Mt. Makiling
Mt. Makiling is a beautiful mountain stratovolcano located
between the Laguna and Batangas province. The forests
on Mt Makiling collectively perform various important
ecological functions, including the prevention of soil
erosion and acting as a sanctuary for wildlife. Mt Makiling
is an important watershed, including as a source of the
natural springs that are a major tourist attraction at Los
Baños.
Cavinti Underground
River
Cavinti Cave is the second largest cave in the
Philippines. It is located at Barangay Paowin, Cavinti,
Laguna. It is a beginner-friendly cave.

Pagsanjan Falls
Pagsanjan Falls, also known as Cavinti Falls (local
name: Magdapio Falls) is one of the most famous
waterfalls in the Philippines. Located in the province of
Laguna, the falls is one of the major tourist attractions
of the region.
Enchanted Kingdom
Enchanted Kingdom, is a theme park in the Philippines. It
is located in Santa Rosa, Laguna. It has a land area of 25
hectares. Enchanted Kingdom opened to the public on
October 19, 1995. It was and still is the first and only
world-class theme park in the Philippines. The theme
park boasts of rides and attractions unique to the country
and in size and magnitude.

Villa Escudero
It is a resort covering up to 2,000 acres of land, located
in Tiaong Quezon Province Philippines. It also made in
the design of a large plantation that consists of different
attractive features mostly relating to the Philippine
culture. It is in a setting of natural environment that
provide beautiful features.
Faro de Punta de
Malabrigo Lighthouse
Malabrigo Point Lighthouse, also known as Faro de Punta
Malabrigo (Filipino: Parola ng Punta Malabrigo), is a historic
lighthouse located about 115 kilometres (71 mi) southeast of
Manila in Barangay Malabrigo, Lobo, Batangas, Philippines.
Completed and lit in 1896, it is one of the oldest working
lighthouses in the Philippines as well as the best preserved
lighthouse in the country.

Punta de Santiago

Also known as Punta de Santiago or Faro de Punta
Santiago or simply Calatagan Lighthouse, Cape
Santiago is an imposing 51-foot tall white and red brick
lighthouse that was built in the late 1800's to guide
seafarers passing Verde Island passage, San
Bernardino Strait and the Manila Bay.
Mabini Shrine
Tucked in Barangay Talaga, Tanauan, Batangas, the
Shrine marks the birthplace of Apolinario Mabini. At
the heart of a residential area along the Tanauan-
Talisay highway, it harbors a library, a museum, and
his tomb.

Taal Heritage Village


The most interesting part of going around Taal town proper is
having to see the heritage houses that allow people to travel
back in time as their unique exquisiteness from the olden days
was preserved for the present generation to catch a glimpse of.
Some of these heritage houses were turned into museums,
others into galleries, a couple of them were transformed into
gift shops. But in general, these heritage houses serve as
concrete proofs of the rich cultural heritage passed on from one
generation to the succeeding one.
Taal Lake and Volcano
Taal Volcano is the second most active volcano found
in the province of Batangas. A complex volcano in the
middle of Taal Lake and is often called an island within
a lake, that is an island within a lake that is on an
island as well as one of the lowest volcano in the world
having 311 meters elevation. It offers a very a
spectacular view seen from Tagaytay Ridge.

Verde Island Passage


Verde Island Passage, a 10-mile-wide strait that
separates the islands of Luzon and Mindoro, is so rich
in marine life it is internationally acknowledged as the
“Center of the Center of Marine Biodiversity.” The
Passage provides food, livelihood, and other benefits
to over two million people.
Plaza Mabini
The Plaza Mabini which is strategically located within
the Poblacion is one of the two man-made parks in
Batangas City. The Plaza which is dedicated to the
Filipino people has a double lifesize bust statue of
Apolinario Mabini which stands prominently at the
center, was first conducted in 1951 and redesigned in
1964.

Doña Marcela
Agoncillo Museum
Dona Marcela Agoncillo Museum: The house is one of Taal's
oldest, built in the late 17th century by Marcela's grandfather
Andres Mariño. It was in this house that the first Philippine
flag was sewn by hand by Marcella Agoncillo. With the heirs
donating the property to the national government, it is
"recently being maintained by the Department of Tourism.
Calinawan Cave
This natural, multi-level cave, part of several
series of caves in the area, was said to have been
discovered in 1901 (by a grandfather of one of
the cave guides). It was used as a local hideout
by refugees during the Philippine-American War
and by the Japanese during World War II.

Daranak Falls
The Calinawan Cave is a series of caves located in Barangay
Tandang Kutyo in Tanay, Rizal. It contains different levels and
chambers that tourists can explore. It is also known as a historical
site since it was used as a hideout by Filipinos during World War II.
Today, it is a popular filming location for movies and TV shows.
Situated about 3.5 KM from the cave is Daranak Falls.
The falls are 14-meters tall and are nestled at the foot of the Tanay
mountains. It is also surrounded by lush greeneries, contributing to
its cool and refreshing atmosphere. Aside from swimming here,
visitors can also climb the side of the falls to jump into the water
below.
Hinulugang Taktak Falls
Hinulugang Taktak is a 70-feet-tall waterfall that is nestled in Antipolo
City. It is one of the nearest waterfalls from Manila and is about 84 feet
in width. The stunning waterscape was named as such because a large
bell (taktak) was dropped (hinulog) into it in the 15th or 16th century.
The bell was thrown there because locals disliked how loud it was when
it was rung. In the following years, the area surrounding the falls has
been designated as a protected area and a national park. Though
pollution in the 1990s made the water unsafe for recreational purposes
such as swimming, visitors can still take a dip in the pool close to the
falls. A cemented viewing deck has been built as well so tourists can get
a better view of the falling water.

Pilillia Wind Farm


On the rolling hills of Pililla sit 27 giant wind turbines that provide
clean energy to Manila. These large structures are as tall as 33-story
buildings or 125 meters and bring clean wind energy to approximately
66,000 households in our country's capital city. Tourists go here to
enjoy the cool, strong gusts of wind that the turbines turn into
electricity and to admire the towering fans as well. During Holy Week,
which typically takes place between March and April every year, an
average of 130,000 tourists come to see the turbines up close. Aside
from providing renewable energy, the Pililla Wind Farm also helps the
local businesses by bringing in new customers to the area.
Basilica of St. Michael the
Archangel
Minor Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel which is
located in Tayabas City. The basilica remains the only one
of its special designation in Quezon Province, is
acclaimed as one of the most beautiful churches in the
country, and is a declared National Cultural Treasure in
2001 by the National Museum of the Philippines.

Quezon Museum
The construction of the museum was conducted by the
Bureau of Public Works in 1952. Under President Marcos’
Presidential Decree No. 1, it was placed under the
jurisdiction of the National Historical Institute in
September 1972. The museum was designed by Federico
Ilustre and is known for its unique base which is an
equilateral triangle. It is also surmounted by three pylons
representing the three major islands of the Philippines.
Quezon National Park
Quezon National Park has an area of about 9,830,765 hectares. It has
an intricate system of caves, waterfalls, springs, creeks, gorges, and
ravines against a quaint backdrop of lush greenery. Local folks say that
the park is full of flora and fauna from butterflies to birds and monkeys
tugging along their young, while crossing the street. Trees are so tall
and huge that the zigzag road is relatively dark. The park is also the site
of Pinagbanderahan, a place where the Filipino Revolutionaries planted
the Philippine flag in their fight against the Spanish colonizers. It can be
reached by walking for about one hour from the road to the top of a
ridge.

Kamay ni Jesus
Quezon Province is a popular pilgrimage site for different
religious sects. The province is home to Mt. Banahaw,
considered by locals and other sects as a holy ground. It is
also where Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church is also situated. It
features a 292-stairsteps with life size figures along depicting
the 14 Stations of the Cross. On top of the hill is a 50-foot
statue of Jesus Christ. The structure is said to be the third
biggest in the world.
