Batteries installation guidelines
• After following installation manual & Data sheet please consider below points during batteries installation and inspection.
• Use torque range to installed batteries nuts and bolts.
• Using proper crimping tools for DC cables lugs and heat shrink for DC cables isolation.
• Keep Safe distance between batteries 1CM minimum to safe batteries against thermal run away damage.
• Check all batteries manufacture date before installing them not exceed 2 years maximum.
• Matching the output voltage and current of power cabinet for each string and check its operation during charge/Discharge some
times controller need to be restarted after new parameter settings.
• Revise parameter setting before installing new batteries according to installation manual for each batteries type.
(Rectifier Float Voltage ,Boost Voltage, Equalized Voltage ,Charge current ,battery rated capacity and temperature compensation)
• Recommended Batteries ambient temperature25℃ and recommended operated range 25℃ ~ 28℃
• When the system has a high temperature disconnect the batteries at 60°C temperature in order to avoid thermal damage.
• Enable & activate Temperature compensation at ±25°C.
• Adjust battery rated capacity according to total number of batteries strings installed at power cabinet.
• Check batteries voltage before & after installation voltage difference to be maximum 0.15V/ 12V Block.
• Adjust LLVD and BLVD according to number of cascaded to avoid deep discharge.
• Check Cooling Unit/System operating condition before installing batteries and periodically follow it

Batteries Parameters settings
• The optimum level for float charging is 2.27VPC ±0.02VPC at +25°C (Float Voltage 54.48V)
• Boost voltage (equalize) recommends 2.35 VPC as boost voltage at +25°C (Boost or Equalize Voltage 56.4V)
• Boost or Equalize voltage shall be limited to the boost voltage level and shall be from 6 to 16 hours.
• The optimum level temperature +25°C (+77°F). If the Battery temperature increases above this level, a thermal compensation of -4
mV/cell/°C is recommended for safe operation ,and if the temperature decreases below 25°C, the voltage should be increased by 4
mV/cell/°C.(compensation coefficient 96mV/deg.C)
• Recommended Charge current for float application 0.25C(total batteries capacity/4)
• Battery rated capacity (according to Power cabinet Type).
1st (enter single battery string capacity and number of battery strings)
2nd (enter total battery capacity) for example ( total rated capacity for site has 2 battery strings 200Ah =400Ah)
• BLVD and LLVD to be adjusted as per below for both cascaded and normal sites.

LLVD(Radio Loads Disconnect) 44.4V 45.6V
BLLVD(TRM Loads Disconnect) 43.2V 42

• When received Batteries a visual check should be made on the
Batteries If the batteries show transportation damage,
physical damage to the case, leaking electrolyte etc. they
should not be installed and a claim should be initiated

temperature Impact on battery life time

• Batteries are electrochemical devices, so it is recommended to operate the batteries within 20-
25ºC
For example, if the temperature rises from the recommended operating temperature of +25°C, to
+45°C, the expected battery life will decrease from 10 to 2 years
