The INTERNET is a global system of interconnected
computer networks. When two or more electronic
devices (e.g. computers) are connected so that they
can communicate, they become part of a network.
communication is possible because Internet Protocol
(IP)
What is an IP Address?
Because the Internet is a global network of computers
each computer connected to the Internet must have a
unique address.
Internet addresses are in the form zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz,
where zzz must be a number from 0 – 255. This
address is known as an IP address
 An IP address is a numerical address that is assigned
to every device connected to the Internet.
World Wide Web
When we type any website address in the browser we use
WWW keyword.
That we know that this is  WWW or World Wide Web 
 World Wide Web Can also contain moving pictures,
active programs etc.
This hypertext document is written in HTML language
And  based on SGML (Standard Generalized Markup
Language) which describes the structure of a document.
WWW browser decides how to display the document
based on the structure description in HTML.
What is an URL?
URL stands for Universal Resource Locator. URL is an
address to the current location of information
protocol. For example http://www.google.com,
https://www.youtube.com, etc. WWW browser uses
the URL address to retrieve a document over the
network.
What is an HTTP?

When we are writing a web address we are using


“Http:”. What does the word HTTP stand for?
 HTTP stand for Hypertext Transfer Protocol.
HTTP  is a simple protocol for file transfer over the
network.
When a user makes a request to any website the
requests are served over the HTTP or HTTPS (secured)
protocol and the webpage gets displayed.
What is an HTTP?
The time consumed to display a webpage depends on
various factors like internet speed server performance,
network latency, etc.
What is GOOGLE?

In our daily life, we ask GOOGLE many questions.


What is GOOGLE?   
 GOOGLE is a search engine.
web search engine is a software system that is
designed to search for information on the World Wide
Web.
