Rajab (Arabic:‫)رجب‬
is the seventh month
of the Islamic
calendar.
The month of Rajab is
regarded as one of the
four sacred months in
Islamic Calendar.
What does Lailat al Mi’raj mean?

Al Israa’ Wal Mi’raj


means “Night Journey
and Ascension”. It is
also known as “The
Heavenly Trip” of
Prophet Muhammad
(Peace be upon him)
Mi’raj (Heavenly Trip) is a night time journey of Prophet Muhammad PBUH
from Makkah to the 'Farthest Mosque' in Jerusalem.

Where he ascended to heaven, was purified, and was given three precious gifts.

In Masjid Al Aqsa Prophet Muhammad PBUH Dome of The Rock a place from where
led all the Prophets (Peace be upon them) in Muhammad PBUH ascended towards
prayer. Heavens.

This story is a source of wonder and hope.


This miraculous journey shows the significance of these Mosques. These are the blessed
places on the earth and holds a unique place in the heart of every Muslims.
On this occasion Prophet Muhammad
PBUH was blessed with three beautiful gifts.
1. Five daily prayers equal to the reward of fifty daily
prayers.
2.The last two verses of the chapter Al-Baqarah’.
3. Remission of serious sins.
The Messenger of Allah PBUH was given three
(things): he was given five prayers, he was given
the concluding verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and
the remission of serious sins for those among his
Ummah who associate not anything with Allah
Almighty”.
