It's very easy to sew the simple hand stitches if you

know every step thoroughly
before you start to practice the next move.Hand sewing
is an ability that most
men, if not all, would probably seek to master at some
stage.
BACK STITCH
It resembles machine stitching and is used to strengthen hand made seam.
Create one running stitch, then take a back stitch to the beginning of the first
stitch, thus overlapping each running stitch.
BASTING
This is used to temporarily hold fabric in place, until it is stitched permanently. Insert the
needle into the fabric from backside to front side. Pull the needle and thread through the
fabric so there is a knot on one side and all the thread is on the opposite side of the fabric.
Then repeat the process.
RUNNING STITCH OR STRAIGHT STITCH
the fundamental stitch on which all other methods of sewing are based in hand-stitching.
The stitch is worked on at normal distance by moving the needle in and out of the thread.
BLANKET STITCH
a stitch that helps to support the edge of heavy materials. Put your needle from the edge
of the fabric in 1/4 inch. Place the thread underneath the needle and pull through. This
makes the diagonal lined which crosses one another.
CATCH STITCH
a cross-stitch of uneven proportions used in particular for finishing and hemming on bulky fabrics.Hold
open edge away from you, operate from left to right. Take a stitch in the hem, then a small stitch to the
right just beyond edge of hem, with the point of needle to the left. This makes the diagonal lined which
crosses one another.
