Introduction
Pakistan is a large, ethnically diverse nation in South
Asia. Pakistan has historically and culturally been
linked to its neighbours Iran, Afghanistan, and India
since its populace speaks mostly Indo-Iranian. Pakistan
has been distinguishable from its bigger southern
neighbour by its preponderance of Muslims since the
two countries gained independence in 1947. Pakistan
has battled for political stability and ongoing
socioeconomic progress throughout its existence.
Geography and Climate
Pakistan's climate can range from tropical or Pakistan’s geography consists of mountains,
mild. The coastal south has arid weather hills, plains, forests, and plateaus. At the
conditions. Pakistan has both a dry season westernmost point of the vast Indo-Gangetic
and a monsoon season with adequate rainfall. Plain is Pakistan. About three-fifths of the
Winter is cold and dry, lasting from December country's total territory is made up of harsh

March through May. From June to September, other two-fifths is made up of a vast region of
it frequently rains. Between October and level plain.
November, the monsoons begin to recede.
Wildlife
There are many different plant species in Pakistan due to the variety of its landscapes and
temperatures. Coniferous trees such as spruce, pine, and deodar cedar, as well as deciduous
(mulberry), palm, juniper, and tamarind trees, are found in forests. Moreover, there are tussock
plants and coarse grasses. In the south, mangrove forests make up a large portion of the coastal
wetlands.

The animal kingdom is also diversified. Crocodiles live on the southern lowlands. Rodents, deer,
boars, and porcupines are widespread. Snow leopards, Marco Polo sheep, Urial sheep, Ibex
goats, and Himalayan bears have all been spotted in the north. Jackals, hyenas, wild cats,
panthers, and leopards reside in sandy scrublands. Rarely, a cheetah from Asia is seen. The
national animal of Pakistan is the Markhor, a type of goat.
Traditions
Pakistan celebrates a number of holidays. Pakistan observes the holy month of Ramadan, much
like any other nation with a sizable Muslim population. All Muslims fast from dawn till dusk and
go the mosque more frequently throughout this month. In addition, associated celebrations like
Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha are held to commemorate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Pakistan's cultural contours display its ethnic diversity and moral legacy. The Middle Eastern,
Central Asian, and Indian civilizations all have an impact on Pakistan's collective intellectual
achievement. The culture of Pakistan varies greatly from one region to another, from Balochistan
and KPK to Punjab and Sindh.
Folk Dancing
The bhangra, an exuberant dance style that originated in Punjab, and khatak steps are two
examples of popular traditional folk dances. The Pashtun tribe's martial dance, or khatak,
features aggressive mimicry of battle achievements. There are several traditional dances that are
linked with women; they include the giddha, a comical song and dance, the kikli, a whirling dance
done by girls and young women, and a style in which dancers bind in a circle while snapping
their fingers and clapping their hands. A victory, originally in a battle but today in a sporting
event, is generally celebrated with the Punjabi dance known as the luddi, which is typically done
by men.
People
Several peoples and cultures exploited the area as a route for military conquest before Pakistan
was founded. It so symbolises a massive melting pot of cultures and races. Modern Pakistan's
population may be broadly divided into five major and several smaller ethnic groups. The
Punjabis, who make up around half of the population, are the single largest community. Pashtuns
(Pathans) make up around one-eighth of the population, with Sindhis making up a somewhat
smaller share. The two largest ethnic groups among the residual population are the Balochs and
the muhajirs, or Muslims who migrated to Pakistan following the split in 1947.
Conclusion
South Asia's Pakistan is a sizable country with a diversified ethnic population. As the majority of
Pakistan's population speaks Indo-Iranian, Pakistan has historical and cultural ties to its
neighbours Iran, Afghanistan, and India. Since the two nations' independence in 1947, Pakistan
may be distinguished from its larger southern neighbour by its predominance of Muslims.
Throughout its history, Pakistan has fought for both political stability and continuous
socioeconomic advancement.
