Overview of PreKG

In Pre KG, playful learning supports learning outcomes in all domains or
learning areas and also engage young students in developmentally
appropriate activities such as:

Role Play / Dramatic Play

Messy play
Show and tell
Rhyme time
Storytime
Fine motor skills
Gross Motor skills
Life Skills

In PreKG the key concepts/areas have been identified theme-wise. The

concepts may be repeated as children learn in a spiral manner and therefore.

*Playful learning or play – based supports young children’s development.

Play support positive associations with stress-free early learning that
encourage young children to feel happy, successful, and life-long learners.

Anecdotes

What did I do best for my class?
• Everyone is focusing largely on mastering
letters and sounds. For me, what I did best
for my class is to make sure they will go home
happily and they will come back excitedly the
following day.
• I have to make sure that every PreKG learners
will experience enriching preschool years
learning.
I rate myself as teacher…
Looking back on my instructional techniques, my classroom
environment, and the work habits of my learners,  these
aspects of the classroom can be difficult to evaluate because
as a teacher, I am always focused on what I'm doing.

I need to continue to strive to use a variety of techniques in

every lesson that I teach.  I am often so rushed when I sit down
to plan my lessons, and I introduce a lesson using only one
instructional technique.  My section head’s feedback matters
as it helps me realize that providing multiple instructional
techniques is truly beneficial for the students'
learning. Therefore, I rate myself as teacher - as very good.
What I could have done better?
• I should be aware of new teaching
methods and best practices so I could
have done better as a teacher.
• I should utilize more creative ideas to
make sure that kids are learning even
with limited resources.
THANK
YOU
