Base on the table above, this chart shows the population growth in Iraq in millions since 1950s till 2020. Initially, population was less than
10 million during the period of monarchy.
The growth rate which is about 3% is too high in comparison to other countries, this has driven to a tremendous increment of population in
successive years.
As shown, even in the period of war, the population growth was not affected noticeably.
In 2015 and on, a slight change in the population growth starts to appear, in 2016 and 2017 the population growth is roughly stable.
