IN THE ALBERTINE GRABEN, IN
PARTICULAR HOIMA DISTRICT.

RESEARCH BACKGROUND.

CONCEPT OF GROUND-
MAP OF HOIMA DISTRICT. WATER MONITORING
PROBLEM STATEMENT

• EnviroServe and Green

• An estimated 300,000 Albertine limited
tones of wastes to be • 1,000 tones of wasted
produced will be treated daily
• These wastes are to be • However this industry
deposited in land fills will also still produce
• Leaching . side wastes contributing
to pollution.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES.
 General objective
To monitor the ground water quality and tables in Hoima district.

 Specific objectives
1. To find out the ground water tables in Hoima district.
2. To determine the physio-chemical property of ground water in Hoima district. (Dissolved
Oxygen, pH, Conductivity, salinity)
3. To provide a mathematical model that predicts the changes in ground water levels and its
quality.
PROJECT PHYSICAL AND TECHNICAL SCOPE

2010-
Collection of water quality and tables data.
2023

40-50 Boreholes.

parameter
s Physio-chemical properties, water tables.
