SCHOOL
HISTORY
• Kalanawe II National High School started to operate as public high

school in the year 1993 and became the second annex School of

President Quirino High School under the able and competent principal,

Mr. Ernesto E. Diaz.

• First year classes were only offered during the opening of classes with

student population of 77 with 3 teachers coming from the mother

school namely, Mr. Nicomedes Catugo, Jr., Mrs. Emma I. Santos and Mr.

Samuel Rey S. Viloria designated as the Assistant to the Principal of the

school. During the second year of operation, first year to third year

curriculum were offered.

• The Kalanawe II National High School was established by the Congress of

the Philippines under RA No. 7824, sponsored by Hon. Congressman

Estanislao Valdez with the support of local government unit headed by

Hon. Mayor Igmedio Barrientos, the Sangguniang Bayan Members and

the populace specially the parents who were in close proximity to the

proposed site of the school.

• Republic Act 7824 was signed and approved into law by his Excellency,

Fidel V. Ramos, in November 18, 1994. The school was later

incorporated in the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2002 and

became independent and separated from the mother school.

• Mr. Aristoteles S. Costales, Jr. was designated by the Schools Division

Superintendent Sabandiya A. Balabagan, Al Haj in September 18, 2000

as the Teacher In – Charge. Recently, he was able to get the promotion

as Principal I last 2008 by the Schools Division Superintendent Kahar

H. Macasayon, Ph.D.,CEO VI.

• October 19, 2011 the turn –over of Mr. Aristoteles S. Costales Jr. and

installation of Mr. Edwin A. Duldulao happened upon the directive of

School Division Office. Mr Aristoteles S. Costales Jr. became the

principal of Bagumbayan National High School and Mr. Edwin A.

Duldulao as the principal of Kalanawe II National High School.

• December 1, 2015

• Dr. Lorely Anne F. Valencia MT-II received an order as Teacher-In-

charge of KIINHS and was formally installed on December 14, 2015 and

she became Principal – I of Kalanawe II National High School on January

4, 2016.
