Geography
• Italy is a Mediterranean country located in southern Europe. It is 
bordered by the Adriatic Sea on the east coast, the Tyrrhenian Sea on the
west or Mediterranean coast, and the Ionian Sea to the south. In the
north, Italy is bordered by the countries of France, Switzerland, Austria,
and Slovenia.

• The Italian mainland is a long peninsula that resembles a tall boot, so


much so that the country is often referred to as "the boot," with the 
Puglia region in the southeast being the "heel of the boot" and the
Calabria region in the southwest being the "toe of the boot."

The Catholic Church
The catholic Church, also known as the Roman
Catholic Church, is the largest Christian Church
with 1.3 billion baptised Catholics worldwide as
of 2019. The Catholic Church has profoundly
influenced western philosophy, culture, art,
music and science.

Italy’s national clothes
The national Italian clothes has many
interpretations and every region has it own.
The thing is that different Italian lands were
separated from each other for a long time
ago, & finally merged a little more than 150
years. However, if to generalize, the outfits
are characterized by a riot of colors & a lot of
decorative elements.
Female and Men National Clothes :
• For Women
• It’s a pleated skirt (called ‘gonna’), a white embroidered shirt (camica) & a
corsage.
• Was complemented by a bright apron & a headscarf (fazzoletto).

• For Men
• Simpler than female.
• Consisted of trousers below the knee & a white shirt.
• The head is covered with “berrite”, a woolen hat or a Phrygian cap.

Food and Beverages
- In Italy there are many types of food and
beverages such as panini , cannoli , bellini
and aperitivo.

 Panini
- There are several types of bread used to
make panini , among them are baguette ,
ciabatta , rosetta and michetta.
- The ingredients needed to make a panini
are bread that is cut horizontally and
filled with slices of processed meat such as

with cheese , tomato slices and tuna.


Cannoli
- Cannoli is pastry dessert from sicily.
- A cannoli consists of a pastry dough
roll that is fried as a skin , filled with
a sweet cream that usually contains
ricontta.

BELLINI
- Bellini takes its name from the famous 15th
– century artist Giovanni Bellini.
- The drink was made for this occasion and
soon gained traction , especially with
members of the art community who would
visit Harry’s Bar.

Aperitivo
- Aperitivo is know to be an excellent drink
that prepares the digestive system before
one sits down for delicious Italian dinner.
- It is a light and dry tonic , which prepare
the body’s digestive metabolism better
than an overly sweetened cocktail.

CELEBRATION
Italian are full of life and they like to
celebrate , there are alot of national
italian holidays

VENICE, VENETO
The Carnival of Venice is undoubtedly one of the most
important Carnival celebrations in the city and the largest
carnival celebration in italy. The 2020 Venice Carnival
will begin on Saturday, February 8 and end on Tuesday,
February 25. Visitors can view events like water parade,
mask competition or infamous flight of angel or simply
stroll the UNESCO World Heritage city and to see the
elaborate uniique custumes.
