1st Week
• In this week I was again asked to visit the Rear Transmission Assembly
• Details have been explained in the above slides.
5th week
• In this week I was asked to visit the Front Transmission Assembly Station.
• Here I Observed the Assembly of Front Transmission which is Explained in the Above
Slides.
6th Week
• In this week I was given a task to Inspect The docking Assembly Process
• In this task I was given a audit sheet in which all the points that were to be inspect were mention
.
• The important points that were to e check were the fitment of engine , various leakage points
and a bottom plate bolt of front transmission.
8th week
• In this week I was asked to work at the station of Final Assembly Station Stage-1
• There I observed various processes such as hand brake fitment , QRC valve assembly , silencer
fitment , etc .
9th week
• In this week I was assigned the task to take a reading of How Much time is Required to
complete a particular process in that station.
10th week
• In this week I was asked to observe the fitment processes in the Bonnet Assembly.
• In this station I learnt the assembly of Fender wiring fitment , battery connections , guage unit
wiring , Instrument Cluster Fitment , etc .
• In this station my task was to ensure that all the fitment is done properly and is completed in
the given time.
11th week
It was a good experience and gave a small look/knowledge of how the industrial world works .
The process the department which I actually was part of is explained in the slides below .
Quality Assurance
In process quality assurance:
To lay down procedure for monitoring the In – Process Quality Assurance (IPQA)
activities in stores and Production.
• Make Inspection report ,visual inspection of part
• Check the part visually according to any surface damage ,blow hole, surface
finishing.

CUSTOMER Quality assurance
Problem :
The stickers stick on the tractors were cross.
Cause :
The workers in the industry were used to stick the stickers on the tractors by
assumption only .
Remedies : ( Suggested by us )
We the interns of the quality department discuss the solution of this problem with
the company’s staff ( quality engineers in the industry ) that we should make a object
that will help the workers to stick the sticker properly , we took the measurements of
the sheet metal and made a cut section which helped to stick the sticker properly.
Air bubbles in the sticker.
Cause :
The stickers stick on the vehicle were sticked directly , so it may cause the problem
of air bubble as the surface may have dust on it and the sticker may get curved.
Solution :
We the students of the quality department adviced to clean the surface properly with
the cotton before applying the stickers on the tractors and use the scrubber so that
the stcker don’t get turned , the workers also started to apply soap solution on the
surface on which the sticker is to be sticked and then clean it with cotton to reduce
the bubble. error.
Clutch free play either too more or too less and Hand lever hard
Problem :
Clutch play less or more.
Cause :
The workers were not using the exact object which would help them to
set the clutch free play according to the requirement of the vehicle as
adviced by the designer.
Remedies :
We the students of the quality department made the object with of the
proper measurement which helped to set the free play properly and
accurately.
Problem :
Hand lever hard
Causes :
The workers were noth checking the hand lever regularly after fitting it with the
tractor so there were chances that the grease were not applied on the nut of the
lever.
Solutions :
Workers should check the hand lever in each and every tractor before sending it to
further process so that the smooth function of the lever is maintained.
