Working of a Light Fidelity Connection

MATERIALS NEEDED -
LED 1 pcs bulbs:
1 pcs solar panel
1 pcs buzzer:
1 pcs Connector
2 pcs Transistors
2 pcs Resisters
1 pcs 9v Battery
1 pcs chart paper
1 pcs Switch
Other plastic materials (trees, fence, flag)
WHAT IS LI-FI(LIGHT FIDELITY)
Li-Fi is a light communication system that is
capable of transmitting data at high speeds over the
visible light, ultraviolet, and infrared spectrums. In
its present state, only LED lamps can be used for the
transmission of visible light.
HOW DOES LI-FI WORK ?
Data is captured in modulated light frequencies of a solid-
sate LED light source and is then transmitted and
received by Li-Fi enabled devices. A photosensitive
detector demodulates the light frequency signal and
converts it back into an electronic data stream and in so
doing allows for faster than ever, more secure,bi-
directional wireless communication.
PROCEDURE
• Firstly we attached a buzzer and an LED to a solar
panel in one end.
• Then on the other end we put an filament bulb with a
socket and paired it with a switch
• We attached a unit of Morse code machines to each
side for communication.
WHAT IS MORSE CODE
*The Morse code was devised by Samuel Morse , an
American painter
*It is the system of ‘dots and dashes' for sending messages
*Morse code is usually transmitted by on-off keying of an
information-carrying medium such as electric current,
radio waves or sound waves.
*The device that receives the Morse code signals is called a
receiver. At this this stage decoding is carried out.
DEMO CIRCUIT
• For demonstration purposes we built a circuit of
transmission .
• It was made by assembling two resisters and
transmitters to a motherboard.
• We paired it to a LDR and an LED, the LDR sends a
signal when its put under darkness.
• Hence we are able to control the flow of light
emission.
CONCLUSION
The possibilities are numerous and can be explored
further. If this technology can be put into practical
use, every bulb can be used something like a Wi-Fi
hotspot to transmit wireless data and we will proceed
toward the cleaner, greener, safer and brighter
future.
