• People are not aware of the potential relation of the lexi used
in formal and informal speech, the use of hyponymy usually is
unconscious.
• Al- Shemmery & Alshemmery (2017): the majority of the
participants were unable to understand and produce correct
hyponymy.

• Several researchers (Ihsan et.al., 2015; Nakamura, et.al., 2014;


Telaumbanua et.al., 2017; Malik, 2017) found out that
learning hyponymy is beneficial, for instance, it facilitates
learning vocabulary and provides smooth lexical cohesion.
