 Beginning

better version of her life, but soon
realizes that it is a trap set by an
evil entity known as the Other
Mother.
 Midle
The middle of the story shows Coraline’s attempts to escape the Other Mother’s grasp
and save herself and her parents. She finds allies in the form of a black cat and the
spirits of three children who have been trapped in the Other Mother’s world for a long
time.
 The end of the story
depicts the final conflict
between Coraline and
the Other Mother,
which ends with
Coraline gaining the
upper hand and winning
her freedom. The story
concludes with Coraline
returning to the real
world and being glad
for the experience of
having learned to
appreciate her own life
and the love of her
parents.
