Our Group Procedure

Mr. Connolly will assign your group for today. NO, you may not switch groups. YES, you will be graded as a group all together (and individually). If a group member has a question, they must ask the others in their group first.

Scenarios
DIRECTIONS: Choose one of these and act it out/come up with solutions.

Student A stole student Bs pencil. Student A calls student B stupid for not getting an answer to a question. Student B yells at student A to shut up so he can listen in class.

Independent Activity
On a loose leaf sheet of paper, create the following chart and fill it in for yourself:
Things that cause me to get into conflicts: EXAMPLE: Other students making fun of my name. How I usually react: How I can problem-solve the conflict: Talk with other student after class, tell them it makes me feel like an outsider, ask them if would like people making fun or their name or the name of a family member. Yelling at them to shut up, threaten violence
