At the end of the 40 minutes discussion, 85% of the students are expected to:

a. determine “Making Stand.”

b. appreciate the importance of making a stand through oral recitation.
c. apply the idea of making a stand through mini debate

III. PROCEDURE.
A. Preliminary Activities.
a. Prayer
(The teacher will instruct his learners to rise for the opening prayer.)
b. Greetings
(The teacher will greet his students good morning/good afternoon.)
c. Checking of Attendance
(The teacher will ask who is absent.)
d. Behavioral Check
(The teacher will set his rules during his class.
• Do not talk when the teacher is talking.
• Maintain the alignment of chair and seat properly
• Raise your right hand if you want to answer.

B. Review/Drill
(The teacher will ask the learners about the last lesson they discussed.)
C. Motivation
(The teacher will show several questions on screen and the learners are
answering whether they agree on the statement or disagree.

E. Discussion
To make a stand – is to determine effort to agree or disagree, defend
something and to oppose or commend. Also, means to voice your opinion on
issues happening
4 tips on making a stand:
1. Look at your experiences
2. Know what is right and wrong
3. Be prepared for consequences
4. Always base your opinion on facts

(The teacher elaborate through integrating real life current issues)

Are you aware of the issues happening in our planet? Maybe you know
a lot about “Global warming.”
How you will stop the people abuses our earth?
Were you able to agree or disagree with their actions? Issues about
global warming?
Can you give your own point of view or standpoint on how to prevent
Global warming?
Things will never be hard to stand if you are aware of what is happening
to our planet.

F. Activity : Mini Debate

Directions: The class will be divided into two groups, each group will have 1
the same question. The two groups will toss a coin if what side would they
take it’s either disagree or agree.

Question: Should school uniforms be mandatory for all students?

G. Application
Directions: Read and answer the question directly.

IV. EVALUATION
Directions: Read the script below and answer the following questions after.

Online Gaming Addiction

Many kids spend too much time playing online video games instead of studying or helping
at home. This worries parents worldwide. Games like Mobile Legends, COD, and PUBG
are popular distractions. However, it can lead to addiction.
Questions:

1. Is online game a problem and a concern on most parents? Yes or No and why?
2. Is there a possibility that a player becomes addicted to online games? Yes or No and why?

V. AGREEMENT
Study our lesson for today because we will be having summative test tomorrow.
