I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the student’s will be able to:
a. Identify issues presented from the material listened to.
b. Distinguished issues that need clarification from those that do not.
c. Classify issues as to local or global.
A. Classroom Routine
1. Greetings
Students: Good Morning Ma’am,
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Good Morning Class… Good Morning Classmates!
2. Prayers
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Okay, before we start our Students: Let us Pray. In the name of
formal class, May I call ---- to lead the prayer. the Father and of the Son and of The
Holy Spirit Amen. “Our Father…”
3. Cleaning
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Before you take your sit, Students: Yes, Ma’am.
please pick up some pieces of papers and arrange
your chairs.
4. Checking of attendance
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Ok, very good. I will now be
checking your attendance.
Ok, very good class, no one is absent for today.
5. Classroom rules
Students A: Be polite in your manner
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Before we start our lesson, and speech
let us recall our Classroom rules first, can anyone
in the class give me the first classroom rule?
Ma’am Dela Cruz: How about number 2? and Student B: Always be prepared
the last one is? Exactly, very good class! Student D: Always do your best

5. Review
Ma’am Dela Cruz: Lat week, we tackled about
how to use some approaches in critiquing text.
Let’s have a small recap on what have you
remembered from our lesson and if you have
understood it.
What are the Six Approaches that can be used in Students: Structuralist/Formalist,
Critiquing a Text? Moralist, Marxist,
Feminist, Historical and

E. ABSTRACTION
Ma’am Dela Cruz: For todays lesson, we are
going to talk about Getting Different Viewpoints (Students give their answers)
on Various Local or Global Issues.

What is a VIEWPOINT?
= A positio, stand or perspective from which
something is considered.
= Is a way of looking at something.
= Someone’s viewpoint is the way what they think
about things in general, or the way they think about a
particular thing.
GLOBAL ISSUE
= is any issue (problem, risk) that adversely affects
the global community and environment, possibly in a
catastrophic way, including environmental issues,
political crisis, socal issues and economic crisis.
Solutions to global issues generally require
cooperation among nations. Example of a global
issue is the Corona Virus that we are experiencing
globally.

LOCAL ISSUE
= refers to problems or difficulties people around
(Students gives their answers)
you are experiencing. It can also be a national
problem, or problem that the country is experiencing.
Example: Water Pollution, Deforestation and Climate
Change.

V. Assignment
Ma’am Dela Cruz: For your assignment please
study in advance about Distinguishing facts from
beliefs in a story. Now, our class has ended, I
hoped you understood our topic and learned from
it. Goodbye Class and see you tomorrow.
