Objectives:

A. Content Standards: The learner demonstrates understanding of processes in sight word


recognition or phonic analysis to read and understand words; and of familiar sight and irregularly
spelled words for automatic recognition.

B. Performance Standards: The learner uses word recognition techniques to read and
understand words that contain complex letter combinations, affixes and contractions through theme-
based activities; and use sight and irregularly spelled words in meaningful oral and written tasks.

C. Learning Competency and Code: Read words with vowel digraphs ea and ee and phrases,
sentences and stories containing these words.( EN3PWR-IVd-e-22 & 29)

A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson:

The teacher show some pictures taken from the story “The Little Rose Plant” Let the pupils

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson:


The teacher posted a poem written on a cartolina. The pupils will be given time to

C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson:

Teacher reads the following words written on a chart, pupils look and listen. Then the pupils
will read altogether, by row, by two’s and individually.

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1:

Teacher guides the pupils in sounding out the digraphs ea and ee of the words. Pupils must
understand the meaning of the words. Teacher use pictures, realia, action and context for
vocabulary development.

Draw a circle around the words that have digraphs ea sound and draw a rectangle around
the words that have the digraphs ee sound.
