Lesson 2

PREPOSITION
Preposition is a word used before a noun or pronoun
that shows the relationship between a noun or a
pronoun and the other words in a sentence. Some
prepositions are: in, on, at, to, with, under, above,
into, by, of and since.
They act to connect the people, objects, time and locations of a
sentence.

A nice way to think about prepositions is as the words that help

glue a sentence together. They do this by expressing position
and movement, possession, time and how an action is
completed.
Examples:

He lives in the Philippines.

Someone is standing by our car.
I was waiting for you.
Just look at me.
