COMPANY PROFILE

Total Energies SE is a French multinational integrated oil and gas

company founded in 1924 and one of the seven “supermajor” oil companies. Its
businesses cover the entire oil and gas chain, from crude oil and natural gas
exploration and production to power generation, transportation, refening,
petroleum product marketing, and international crude oil and product trading

GEOLOGICAL FINDINGS AND REVIEW

Geological Review
The Exmouth Sub-basin, located in the
southernmost part of the Northern Carnarvon
Basin, is composed of the northeast-southwest
trending Jurassic syn-rift. Water depths within
the sub-basin range from approximately 100 to
more than 2,000 m. This sub-basin is bounded
by the Alpha Arch to the east and the Exmouth
Plateau to the northwest. The Alpha Arch forms
the boundary between the Exmouth Sub-basin
and the Barrow Sub basin, and the Kangaroo
Syncline forms the boundary between the
Exmouth Sub-basin and the Exmouth Plateau.

CONCLUSION

• The STEEL JACKET Field is a moderately sized biodegraded oil

accumulation reservoir in Early Cretaceous sandstones of the Macedon
Formation in the Exmouth Sub-Basin. The reservoir comprises excellent
quality, poorly consolidated turbidite sandstone up to 20 m thickness. In
the fault-bounded STEEL JACKET Structure, medium viscosity, medium
GOR oil is a reservoir in high quality but friable of the Lower Cretaceous
Macedon Member.

• Based on the running results and analysis that has been obtained from the
initialization results, volumetric OOIP data of 40585559 STB and OOIP data
simulated results that have used sensitivity of 2.27% are 40597558 STB.
Percent of errors obtained by 0.030%.

16
CONCLUSION

• % error History Matching :

 Liquid (Sensitivity 1) : 0%
 Oil (Sensitivity 0,519) : 0,03%
 Water (Sensitivity 0,773) : 0.01 %
 Gas (Sensitivity 0,8) : 3,6 %

• Recovery Factor :

 Basecase : 5. %

 Infill : 23 %

INNOVATION

In this case work, we provide innovation in determining the steel jacket

field development scenario from the total energies engineering team. The
best scenario can be obtained by treating infill wells to increase field
production and then to maintain field pressure so as not to decrease too
quickly by adding pressure wells. maintenance. However, in the scenario of
adding pressure maintenance wells, it cannot be made because of the
inadequate capacity and specifications of the laptop that do not support it,
causing the simulation process for the next scenario to not be optimal.
