Introduction

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FS & SGW NETWORK

The objective of operation and maintenance for FS & SGW network assets are to meet current
and expected flow demands and to ensure fully operational condition before and during rain
event by planned regular inspections and applying preventive and corrective maintenance.
Scope of Work For Network

The Major Scope of works which shall include but not limited to the following:
• Operation & Maintenance Procedure.
• Inspection & Cleaning.
• CCTV Inspection.
• Condition Assessment.
• Third Party Survey.
• Rain Emergency Response.

READINESS FOR RAINY SEASON

Inform supplier and staff to confirm readiness According to the Alert Level 1, 2, 3, 4 we
Monitoring the situation & Weather
Inform the staff and plan resource Forecasting in Alert level 1 and 2 and be ready
Weather for Baseline mobilization in Alert 3 , and Full
Mobilization on Alert 4

Mobilize All Emergency Staff, Hotspots Team ,
Updating and Reporting to client condition, photos , All Networks FS,SGW,TSE, PS, STP, PTP,
number of trips and pumps in operation RRRU, Customer Services Team as per the
plan.
Alert Continuous communication , and coordination
With DNMC/ SCADA Technical coordinators,
Closely coordination between Emergency Manager Updating all the assets operation condition and
with DNMC Emergency coordinator/ assets Status updating the mobilization to client.
through the SCADA
Incident Meeting Ashghal coordinator to confirm the
mobilization
Supervisor and engineers moving to confirm that all
Resources are available and performing Properly.

Mobilize additional resources as and when needed


Maintenance team available to Monitoring and Emergency
Controlling all equipment and doing immediate action
to rectify and problems

Down Report to client total number of trips and running hours of


pumps
Continue removing the water till hotspot is cleared grade to
Alert
Update and report to client the status of active hotspot and
Obtain client zone coordinator signature in the report
the closed ones
Business
Survey the area and report to client any complain from
public or any additional flooded area as usual
Demobilize from site
Transfer any resources if needed to different location .

READINESS FOR RAINY SEASON
Management
• To coordinate with group manager and Ashghal to obtain the data of the assets that will be
newly handed over to Metito .
• Manage the groups to develop the mitigation plan , get it non objected by client , assign
resources and keep additional resources under the control of management team to divert them
to support any group

• To assign Rain emergency manger for day and night shift that manage the overall resources
and communication between groups to control the flow

Group 1 - Network
• Tankers for hotspot- Already contract with suppliers on place – once the additional
hotspot mitigation plan is approved , the assignment of the contractor will take place and
update of day/night shift emergency team
• Diesel pumps –Available as per existing mitigation plan- additional will be deputed
according to revised mitigation plan
• Customer service team to attend any clogging and provide additional tankers to support
the customer complaint.
• Foul sewer network group to be available with super sucker and jutting to attend any line
blockage .
• Rainy season 2020 (To be discussed)
