 What is A Galaxy
• A galaxy is a collection of stars and planets.

• Our Galaxy is called Milky way Galaxy

What is Solar System
• It is a very tiny part of the universe.

• It consists of the sun and 8 planets

• The sun lies in the middle of solar system and planets move around it

• The sun lies in the centre of the solar system.

• The eight planets namely Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter , Saturn, Uranus and Neptune

• My very eager mother just served us noodles

 Fact
• Mercury is the smallest planet and Jupiter is the largest planet.

• Mercury is closest to the sun and Neptune is the farthest

 Star
• Star is a ball of burning gases which has heat and light of its own.

• At night we can see constellations, these are a group or a cluster of stars forming a pattern

• The largest Constellation is Hydra (water snake)

• Examples are Ursa Major, Orian, etc

 Planets
• We have 8 planets in solar system.
• All of these move in fixed paths called orbits.
• Planets do not have there own light they get heat from the Sun (Star)
Satellites
• Just like how the earth moves around the sun a satellite moves around a planet

• Moon is earths satellite, its our closest neighbour.

• Natural Satellites do not have there own light like planets but reflect light from the sun.

• Scientists have created satellites which are sent to space and collect information about the universe
