THE EARTH
DAY!
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to
demonstrate support for environmental protection First
held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of
events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org (formerly
Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more
than 193 countries.
In 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San
Francisco, peace activist John McConnell  proposed a
day to honor the Earth and the concept of peace, to first
be observed on March 21, 1970, the first day of spring
in the northern hemisphere. This day of nature's
equipoise was later sanctioned in a proclamation written
by McConnell and signed by Secretary General U Thant
at the United Nations. A month later United States
Senator Gaylord Nelson  proposed the idea to hold a
nationwide environmental teach-in on April 22, 1970. ]
LITREACY
WEEK

Reading and writing is fundamental

to function in today's society. Not
being able to, for example,
understand the instructions on a
medicine bottle is a scary thought.
DIWALI TIME !

The five-day long festival originated in the Indian subconitnent and is

mentioned in early Sanskrit texts. Diwali is usually celebrated twenty days
after the Vijayadashami (Dussehra, Dasara, Dasain) festival, with Dhanteras
or the regional equivalent, marking the first day of the festival when
celebrants prepare by cleaning their homes and making decorations on the
floor, such as rangolis.] The second day is Naraka Chaturdashi The third
day is the day of Lakshmi puja  and the darkest night of the traditional
month. In some parts of India, the day after Lakshmi Puja is marked with
the Govardhan Puja and Balipratipada (Padwa). Some Hindu communities
mark the last day as Bhai Dooj or the regional equivalent, which is
dedicated to the bond between sister and brother, while other Hindu and
Sikh craftsmen communities mark this day as Vishwakarma Puja and
observe it by performing maintenance in their work spaces and offering
prayers

STUDENT ‘S
CORNER
All children need to be
truly creative is the freedom to commit
themselves completely to the effort and
make whatever activity they are doing

mental growth in children by
providing opportunities for trying out
new ideas, and new ways of thinking
and problem-solving.
RIDDLE TIME!!

 Riddles have such a long
lasting and immense effect
on the power of our brains that
solving them on a daily basis can
actually turn out to be a great brain-
exercise. Not only do they sharpen
our memory but also improve
the functionality of our brain
PUZZLES AND BRAIN
TEASERS

 Solving logical puzzles is a great way to

do this as it improves
your child's cognitive thinking and
enhances their brain capacity to process
things. Puzzle games designed
for kids test their skills and enhance their
knowledge drastically. Kids puzzles are
interesting to solve and can also improve
your child's memory.
RESPECTED TEACHERS

 A teacher is a great source of knowledge,

prosperity and enlightenment by which
anybody can be benefited.  Teachers are the
gifts of god who make our career and guide
us towards success.  Teachers make their
students academically strong and they
always encourage their students to do better
