Solving Problems Involving
Parallelogram
Tapezoid and Kite
Parallelogram
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral
1
with two pairs of parallel sides.
The opposite sides of a parallelogram
are equal in length, and the opposite
angles are equal in measure
Find the height of a
parallelogram with a base
of 12 centimeters
and an area of 60 cm²
Kite
A kite is a quadrilateral that has 2 pairs
of equal-length sides and these sides
are adjacent
to each other.
One side of kite is 5 cm less than 7
times the length of another
If the perimeter is 86 cm find the
length of each side of the kite
Trapezoid
A trapezoid has one pair of parallel sides
and a parallelogram has two pairs of
parallel sides.
So a parallelogram is also a trapezoid.
One base of o trapezoid is 8 cm less
than thrice the other. If the median
measure 12 cm, what is the length of
the longer base?
