This document summarizes an engineering project to develop an intelligent pump for automatic tank level control. The project aims to eliminate sensors and wiring in the tank by using current sensing to detect when the motor is at full load and the tank is full, triggering the motor to turn off via a relay. A block diagram shows the tank valve closing when full and current being sensed to check if it is at full load. The circuit diagram and initial PCB design status are also presented, along with a timeline of reviews and assessments to complete the project.

INTELLIGENT PUMP FOR AUTOMATIC TANK LEVEL CONTROLLING PROJECT BATCH MEMBERS PROJECT GUIDE NAME NAME J. SUKEER Dr. V. Prasanna Moorthy P. SHRIHARI M.E.,(Distn.) Ph.D., MISTE., K.P. NANDHAKUMAR HOD EIE V.PRAKASH INTRODUCTION • It is difficult to rewire or to do repair work in the tank in which float sensor is used. • The metal used in wiring can also change the constitution of the metals in water. • Our project eliminate the need of sensors and electrical connections in the tank. OBJECTIVE • The motor will automatically be turned off when the motor is fully loaded. • The valve in the tank will be closed automatically when tank is full causing the motor to operate in full load. • The increase in torque during full load causes increase in current which will be sensed. When the current reaches full load current the motor will be turned off by the relay.
