1.Remain calm at all times

2.Use caution

3.Pickets are legally allowed to demonstrate


4.Refrain from discussing picket line issues with
those on strike

5.Avoid all means of confrontation

6.Attentively heed the instructions of security


personnel
• Immediately report any threats made by pickets
or supporters

• Immediately report any vehicular damage to


security

• Be prepared to hear abusive or


vulgar language
• Be prepared for extra ordinary delays

• Attend a washroom prior to arriving at the picket line

• Call the police if you feel endangered

• All other contact with the Police should be directed


through Corporate Security
Should an incident occur please note the following:
• Date
• Time
• Location
• Number of pickets
• Union Official (Picket Captains, Union Representatives,
name of any Pickets you can identify, witnesses)
If you have phoned the Police please note the
following:
• Date
• Time
• Number you called
• Who you spoke with
• Please ensure your command centre is provided with
these details
• Do not bump, push or attempt to move pickets with
your vehicle as you will be charged

• Avoid any gestures or laughter that may inflame the


pickets
Should you arrive at the picket line and be unsure as
how to proceed please contact your Command Centre
immediately for additional guidance
