    I saw a good film yesterday. Have you seen the car key?
    Birds eat worms.
    Do you want a drink? They go to the school next to the
    bridge. Water freezes at 0°C.
    Yesterday, I met a student whom I taught
    last semester. I went to Ain Shams
    University.

     We use “an” when it's followed by a


    vowel sound.
    She has a university degree.
    It took me an hour to get home.
    Important Note
    We don't usually use an article before:
    bed, work, home, school, university, prison and hospital.
    My son has started school now.
    I go to university twice a week.
    My aunt is in hospital now. She made an accident.

    But we usually use ‘the’ if someone is just visiting the place, and not there
    as a student/ prisoner/ patient, etc.
    I went to the school to meet my son’s teacher.
