WHO IS TUPAC? AND WHAT IS HIS
ORIGIN?
• He Is an influential American rapper. Actor as well as social activist
• He was born on the 16th of June in 1971, in East Harlem New York city 
• His parents Afeni Shakur and Billy Garland were both involved in a party called the Black Panther which was
a socialist  organization that advocated for civil rights and equality 
• His family moved to Baltimore where he spent most of his early life 
• Tupac had endured numerous amounts of hardships during his upbringing and had witnessed things such
as: 
                   - Poverty 
                   - Crime 
                   - Racial inequality 
• These things heavily influenced him at a young age in both his music as well as what would be his activist
career in the future
TUPACS MUSICAL INFLUENCES 
• Public Enemy - Tupac was a fan of Public Enemy and their socially and
politically concerned songs. They frequently highlighted racial, social, and
economic injustice in their lyrics.
• Bob Marley - Tupac was greatly influenced by Bob Marley's music and his
ideals of empowerment, love, and unity. the rapper's approach to his own
music was strongly influenced by Marley's willingness to utilize songs as a
tool for social change.
• Prince -  Prince's musical artistry, adaptability, and capacity to dismantle
boundaries in the music business were all admired by Tupac. He admired
the way Prince defied expectations and bravely expressed himself via
music.

• LL Cool J - The charm and storytelling skills of LL Cool J, one of the
original founders of hip-hop, had an impact on Tupac's rapping

• Ice Cube - Tupac liked Ice Cube's candor and unflinching portrayal of

• N.W.A - Tupac was influenced by the West Coast rap group N.W.A,
especially the rapper Eazy-E, who gave a real-to-life portrayal of life in
the streets. Tupac was influenced by their belligerent and combative
songs to change his own bold and outspoken persona
• Kendrick Lamar - Tupac had a big impact on
the music and storytelling style of Kendrick
Lamar, one of the most well-known modern
hip-hop musicians. Tupac's impact may be
seen in Kendrick's socially conscious lyrics
and willingness to bring up pertinent topics in
his music.

inspiration for pursuing a career in rap,
INFLUENCED? according to him. Eminem shares some of the
traits that made Tupac's music so powerful,
AND HOW?  such as his emotional depth and willingness
to talk about personal hardships.
• Lil Wayne - Hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne has
talked about how Tupac's music and charm
affected him as an artist. Lil Wayne's earlier
efforts clearly show how Tupac influenced his
storytelling and lyrical approach.
