STRONGBACK
STRONGBACK:-
• It is used to Avoid the Separation of pipe and restrict the
Movement of Enclosure due to Unequal bore.
• IF 100% Flange stud Failure Then we have to prefer C-clamp.

TYPE OF STRONGBACK:-
1. CRUCH TEETH RING
• SQURE (FOR PIPE SIZE ≤3” Pipe)
• ROUND (FOR PIPE SIZE >3” Pipe)
2. SHEAR RING (NORMALLY ROUND)
3. TONGUE
• REGULAR TONGUE
• SCALLOP TONGUE
4. C- CLAMP (see PPT for C-clamp)
1. CRUCH TEETH RING
• Example:- Pipe size 1” therefore taking square type S.B.
• Draw the Layout for pipe with obstructions.
• Then open the Mathcad calculations and put all necessary
information
